Micronic Code Reader Software

We developed our Micronic Code Reader Software in-house to optimize the compatibility of 2D coded tubes, Micronic Rack Readers, automated workflows and LIMS systems. All features in the Micronic Software are included as standard at no extra cost with free upgrades and technical support.

The Micronic Code Reader Software features an automatic re-read function that ensures all the codes in a rack are deciphered quickly. The re-read function reduces downtime in automated workflows. After a rack is scanned, each cell contains a high-quality image of the code and tube ID, as well as a ‘no tube, no code’ feature if a tube cannot be found. Additional useful features include optimal speed for coding and decoding, adjustment controls for brightness, contrast and threshold to optimize tube code display, flexible order of the export fields, software upgrades without losing settings and an enhanced LIMS interface.

Furthermore, the Code Reader Software features an automatic code polarity recognition function, which allows users to scan white on black code surfaces and black on white code surfaces. This feature enables users to read 2D codes from black and white surfaces without changing settings.

Our solutions

Micronic Code Readers

To enable fast, accurate and efficient sample identification, Micronic offers an extensive code reader range which consists of whole rack and single tube readers. The high-end DR700 and DR710 Rack Readers feature deep focus image technology (CCD imaging technology) ensuring the highest accuracy 2D code reading, and an anti-frost system so that tube codes from even frozen samples can be read. The DR700 has a passive anti-frost system, whereas the DR710 has an active anti-frost system. The DR700 and DR710 have a scan time of approximately 7 seconds. To read 1D rack barcodes simultaneously, the Side Barcode Reader is available.

The Micronic Rack Reader DR505 is a small benchtop solution that can read 2D codes quickly and cost effective within seconds. The compact reader is built for high throughput and automated systems. The DR505 has a passive anti-frost system, which enables users to read racks filled with 2D codes tubes straight from the freezer. All Micronic Rack Readers are standard supplied with Micronic Code Reader Software to ensure an optimal performance.

What our customers say

“I chose Micronic because of the space saving 96-well rack format; more sample material could fit in the freezer compared to products from other companies. The screw cap also stays securely in place during long-term storage in -80°C."

"We are very happy with the tubes of Micronic, it is truly more efficient and space saving than we had in the past. Next to that, the fact that the tube positions are laser-etched in the rack itself is very helpful. We always know where the A1 tube is located."
